1. What is Self Storage?

Self Storage is a proven concept around the world and Budapest is no exception in having a need for such a service. You bring your goods or possessions to the storage centre, lock them in the room with your own padlock and come and go as you please during opening hours. You are the only key holder. Euro Mini Storage units are secured, clean, dry and accessible using a personal code and key, 7 days a week. You can store almost anything unless it is perishable, live or flammable.

  1. How often can I have access to my goods?

You can come and go as you please, Monday to Sunday, from 7:00 to 23:00. However, you can also have 24/7 access on request. We invite you to take a virtual tour of the Euro Mini Storage building.

  1. Who has access to my unit?

You are the only person who has a key to your own lock, which you can purchase form us or bring from home.

  1. How much space do I need?

We suggest you use our online size estimator  to determine the size that fits your need. You can calculate this based on the size of your home, the vehicle size you will use to move your belongings or number of boxes that you need to store. If you are unsure, our well-trained store managers can help you determine the right size.

  1. How quickly can I move in?

You can move in on the same day as you make your enquiry (during office opening hours) providing that you have the relevant documentation needed to complete and sign your contract. Payment of a deposit and the first invoice must be made prior to moving in. Please check with our staff.

  1. How much does it cost to store with Euro Mini Storage?

The price you pay is determined by the size of the room you need. That’s why our commitment to you is that we will get you into the smallest space possible. We can advise you on how to stack your goods and possessions to make maximum use of the space.

  1. How do I get my goods to you?

You have to bring your belongings to our storage. Our storage has car parking and large loading/unloading areas. Alternatively, we can find a solution for transporting your goods and as a bonus for our customers we offer free trailer rental.

  1. How big are your spaces?

Our smallest rooms are one meter cubed lockers (1m x 1m x 1.2m). According to your needs we can offer you as well units from type 1 to type 35. The unit type means the approximation of its area in square meters.

  1. Are the storage spaces heated?

Our inside units are heated and ventilated.  The drive-up units are naturally ventilated and not heated.

  1. How high are your storage rooms?

The units situated at the ground floor are 2.8 m high, while those on the first floor of our storage are 2.5 m high.

  1. What kind of security is there?

Our premises are designed to with the security of your belongings and your personal safety foremost in mind. You will enjoy these and other security features. You use a personalized access card to enter in our laser protected perimeter. Our facility has 24/7 CCTV surveillance, individually alarmed units, intruder alarm and smoke-detection system. Also, you are the only one with access to your room, which is locked with a padlock owned by you.  The lock is unique and only you hold the keys.

  1. What do I need to open a contract?

If you sign the contract as an individual, we only require an ID (ID card, passport or driving license).

For companies, the following documents are needed: a copy of the VAT registration number, a copy of the administrator’s ID card.

  1. How do I pay my rent?

We’ll invoice you on a monthly basis, payable in advance.

  1. What it’s included in the price?

The price you are quoted by our staff includes your monthly rental price. A refundable security deposit equal to the standard monthly rental price of your unit is payable at the beginning of the storage period and is refundable at the end of the contract. Additional to the monthly storage price there is a maintenance fee, which includes the common area cleaning, building utilities, snow removal and 24/7 security systems.

  1. Do you have carts and forklifts available?

We have carts and forklifts available free of charge for customers use.

  1. Do you offer any discounts?

Depending on occupancy and demand we offer frequent special offers on various units. Subscribe to our newsletter to get current specials first.

  1. How does the 1 HUF promotion work?

If you need to rent for a period of minimum 6 months, you can take advantage of our special deal of 1 HUF for the first month. This offer is subject to terms and conditions:

– Unit availability is subject to occupancy rate

– Does not include Service charge, VAT or insurance

– Full unit deposit required (refundable at the end of the contract)

– All offers have a minimum renting period of six calendar months

– It applies to NEW customers

– Offers and prices are subject to change at Euro Mini Storage discretion

– Payment in advance, for all the 6 months

– This offer cannot be cumulated with other offers

  1. What is the minimum rental period?

The minimum rental period is of 30 days. You can store for as long as you want, there is no maximum rental period.

  1. What about insurance?

You can buy insurance for the goods stored within Euro Mini Storage. We offer a tailored made customer goods policy provided through our broker. Please ask our staff for more details.

  1. What kind of payment methods are available?

We accept payment in cash, with credit card or bank transfer.

  1. How long can I stay?

You can store for as long as you want, there is no maximum rental period.

  1. Can I transfer to another room if I need more or less space?

You can easily move to another size room at any time, depending on your storage requirements and the availability of other room sizes in the store.

  1. How do I cancel the lease contract?

The contract has an indefinite term of lease and in order to terminate it you will have to send a notice of termination no later that the 15th day of the last month. The notice must be given in writing either by fax, post or email.

  1. How should I return my unit?

Until the contract ending day, together with a Euro Mini Storage representative you will verify and sign the unit return protocol.

  1. How do I collect my security deposit?

The security deposit is refundable at the end of the contract. This deposit is refunded into your bank account within two weeks after you vacate your storage room, unless the unit is damaged or you have outsanding charges remain unpaid.

  1. Is there someone at the store I can talk to if I have a problem?

There will always be a trained member of staff available seven days a week during reception opening times. Should you require assistance outside of office hours there are help points located in the entrance, loading/unloading bays and at the exit that will connect you to a staff member that can assist you in your problem.
